Is the IQ Suite for business owners, or accounting practices?

Both. Single business owners use it to keep their own books — Starter at £5/mo is designed for exactly that. Practices use it to scale across connected clients — 50 on Essential, 250 on Pro and 1,000 on Enterprise. Each client receives their own login, full IQ Books organisation, 1,000 non-refreshing standard credits and a 2,500 one-time bonus; larger networks can arrange a tailored plan.

Can I use one IQ Suite product without the others?

Every plan includes IQ Books, ReconcileIQ, CodeIQ and LedgerIQ. PrepIQ is available on practice plans. You are not obliged to use them together: many people start with ReconcileIQ for PDF statements, find CodeIQ once they've uploaded, reach for LedgerIQ when they need a report, and use PrepIQ for practice year-end work.

Which accounting platforms does the IQ Suite support?

Direct OAuth posting: Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Pandle. ReconcileIQ connects to those plus FreeAgent and YNAB. LedgerIQ reads a general ledger export from any system, since every platform exports CSV or Excel.

What happens to my data?

Session data (chart of accounts, VAT codes, invoices, general ledger, embeddings) is purged when the session expires, 24 hours after it starts. Your session and the transactions in it are deleted 24 hours after the session starts. A record of each posting run is kept only if you ask us to keep it. Without that it clears on the same 24 hour clock, so a rejected transaction cannot be recovered once the session has gone. Turn it on and the run figures are kept for 24 months and the transaction detail for 30 days, or until you have dealt with a failure. You can turn it off again at any time, which deletes what has been kept. Crowd-sourced patterns are only ever contributed when you explicitly consent, and are anonymised first.

How accurate is CodeIQ's coding?

Around 97% against real client data, pre-review. Every transaction is scored for confidence; uncertain ones get flagged for your eye. Manual corrections become user-learning overrides that apply on the next run automatically.

What counts as a credit?

Credits scale with the depth of the work: 1 credit per reconciled bank line, 2 credits per PDF-parsed transaction, 4 credits per fully-coded transaction (coded + VAT-classified + posted), and 1,000 credits per full LedgerIQ analysis. Monthly credits expire at month-end and unused allowance does not carry over; one-time bonus credits never expire.

Does the IQ Suite replace my bookkeeper or my software?

Neither. CodeIQ automates the repetitive parts of bookkeeping — coding, OCR, VAT classification, posting — so the humans in the process can spend time on judgement, advisory and review. It sits on top of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or Pandle, not in place of them.

What is PrepIQ, and which plans include it?

PrepIQ is the suite's year-end engine. You hand over a client's records — a GL export plus the supporting paperwork — and RiQ prepares the full working papers set: records summary, extended trial balance, fixed asset schedule, capital allowances, a reconciliation for each HP, loan or completion statement, VAT and the tax computation. Every figure is cell-linked back to its source so the set ties out, and nothing is plugged or fabricated to force a balance. It handles sole traders and limited companies, and nothing is released until you review and sign it off. PrepIQ is included in the IQ Suite on the practice plans; each year-end job draws 5,000 credits (RiQ default) or 10,000 (RiQ maximum).

Is there a free trial of the IQ Suite?

There is no time-limited trial. Instead there is a permanent free tier with no card required and 1,000 one-off credits that do not refresh automatically. Upgrade any time; nothing auto-converts.
